Feature and Follow Friday {21}

Hey Everyone! Happy Friday!! So today we're bringing back a good ole feature on this blog called Feature and Follow Friday. With this post you answer a question, and then check out everyone else's blogs that posted for today and check out their answers. The goal is to help networking among book bloggers. HOW DO YOU TRACK NEW RELEASES? 

Honestly I'm probably pretty horrible at this, but I do have a way that I somewhat keep track of books that aren't out yet. I have a wishlist on amazon, that way I can track prices and such as well. So on that list it let's me know what are not out yet and what are available for pre-order and when they are released if they have a date. I pretty frequently check the list, either when I purchase new books or when I add new books to it, so I'm able to see the upcoming dates for release of the books that I want. I'll throw a picture in below to show off kind of what I'm working with so you have a general idea!

Hello all! Welcome back to my blog for yet another FF. This week I'm gonna just cut to it, check out the question below.

What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

I can't really think of any book that I liked that wasn't popular. But I can think of one book that I was meh about but everyone else raved about, and now it has a movie coming out. That would be The Host. It took me forever to even try and get into the story, let alone enjoy or finish it. Now it has a movie coming out and I'm semi cautious about wanting to go see it. It looks like they may have done a good job, but then again if they stuck to the book the first hour may be nothing but boring.

Hey everyone and welcome, sorry things are so slow going right now, I'm just making sure I can get you some posts while I study for a super huge exam this week. But we've made it to Friday! Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like — oops?

I remember when I first started blogging, the way that I was posting my reviews was horrendous. I would write a one paragraph review and lump it with two or three books. I thought that was a good way to do things to start off, but then realized how wrong I was. I figured that separating reviews was my first step to being better, and then also not posting on the same day. The few people that I had following me at the time wouldn't be so overwhelmed by the massive posts I was making.

What books have you given other people lately?

The last books I gave to anyone to borrow was one of my best friends. She wanted to read something more recent and something good, so I let her borrow The Iron King by Julie Kagawa and also I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. Both of these books/ series are ones that I am absolutely in love with, so naturally I wanted her to read them as well so I would have someone else to talk to about books, which I don't really have, hence me having my blog. But anywho she gave them back but we haven't had a chance to talk about them yet.

Alright guys, so it is Friday, and we all know what that means. FOLLOW FRIDAY. So this is exciting because I get to start doing these posts again, and they always make me think. I actually decided to go back, and choose one that I missed that I really wanted to answer, but next week I'll go back to answering them as posted. So here is this week's question, comment with your post if you want to share your answer.

Q: If you could pick one character in a book, movie, or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

This is a really tough one to answer, because I have read so many books and watched so many shows and movies that I would love to be in. Once I thought about it though, the one place that I would love to be would have to be Storybrooke. Out of all of the characters in Once Upon a Time, I would have to say I would love to be Red. She is such a strong character, and she discovers so much about herself in the first season alone. This current season I've grown to love her even more and she helps so much with everything. So there you guys go, I would be Red living in Storybrooke helping the best I can.

Q: Best Cover? What is the best cover of a book that you’ve read and didn’t like?

This is a tough one because I just love covers, and generally if I love the cover I end up loving the book. I guess if I had to pick it would be this book. I think mainly because I was so excited due to who the author was and I thought the cover was so cute I probably had too much expectations for this book, but it was just so hard to get into that I don't think I even finished it, sad I know.

Hey everyone and happy Friday! So I have something special going on. The next couple of days/blogs will be done 1,748 miles away from my home. Yeah, I'm on vacation this week, in Las Vegas. I can post some pictures later if anyone is wanting to see. Of course I couldn't forget about any of you so I brought my laptop and (of course) books with me so I could make sure to keep in touch. So today is of course Follow Friday, so let's take a look at what this week's question is. 

Q. If you could pick one character in A book, movie, or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

I think this is a difficult one. there are so many options. I guess right now if I had to pick someone to swap with it would have to be Rory Gilmore from Gilmore Girls. I was absolutely in love with that show when I was younger and I own all of them on DVD. She's smart, witty, and has amazing taste, plus she's a book-a-holic like myself.

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

Of the recent books that I have read, I think the one that I would be most excited to see made into a movie would have to be Wildefire. I absolutely loved that book and to see it come to life would be freaking awesome, for lack of better words haha. Someone that I would want to see cast to play Ashline would have to be, that would be hard to cast. If it were to stray from the obvious having to be Polynesian I guess if I were to overlook that small fact, I think someone that would be good for the part would be Emma Roberts. But if it were to have to stick with the ethnicity I honestly have no idea who I would pick to play the part

Q. What do I do when I am not reading?

Well I work haha. Usually I work about 40 hours a week now a days so that's mostly what I'm doing. BUT I do take a book with me to work so I can read on lunch break because if not I get so bored. Other than that I'm usually on my xbox playing CoD Black Ops like the cool kid I am. If you know Black Ops then you know what I mean when I say I'm about to prestige again so I've been playing a bit more so I can level up lol. But yeah those are mainly the two things I do other than reading and sleeping so my lifes pretty boring.

Q. How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?

Right now I've been lucky to fit one book in a week. But that's because I've just been so busy with everything and especially school. But now that school is out I hopefully, cross my fingers, can read at least two a week. Right now most of my books have been in  paper format, but I do have some Kindle books and some new ebooks for review to read so those will definitely be the ones I will be heading towards soon.

So here I am again everyone. Everything is going fine, I just have finals week coming up and am working almost 40 hour  weeks now. I'm going to schedule some posts so I can just hop on and click post daily instead of having to sit down and write them since I can never seem to find the time. That way I won't be gone for such long periods of time. But anywho here is this week's follow firday

Q. Circle time! Time to share. What character in a book would you most like to be, what character in a book would you most like to date?

I would have to say that the character I most want to be would have to be, oh wow this is hard let me see. Right now I think Meghan Chase from The Iron Fey Trilogy is really interesting. I don't want to say too much and give away things with why I want to be here but her life is going to be very interesting.  I know I would love to date Edward Cullen purely for the fact that when I think of him I think Robert Pattinson, and have you seen him? I mean come on he's gorgeous.

After a very stress filled week I am glad to say that I get to work this wonderful Holiday weekend. I am going to be so tired this weekend! I have been trying to find time to read The Iron King though and it's so good! But for now here is this week's Follow Friday post!

Q. DO YOU JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER?

Yes Yes Yes I am a coverist. Guilty as charged. I can't help it though. If the cover looks really good then it is going to pull me in and make me want to read it. If the cover doesn't look very good than the story better really make up for it. I need something that pulls me in right away. So if the jacket does it great, if the cover does it, even better. I'm more likely to pick up a book I haven't heard about that has a good cover than one that has a bad cover. Just being honest haha.

I was thinking of doing a picture tour of my bookcase and tallying my read and TBR so I was wondering what everyone would think of that.

Hey everyone! So I think I'm going to start either posting ahead of schedule and having them be timed, or post at night when I get a chance. Q. WHAT IS THE BOOK THAT YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO ADMIT TO LOVING??

Now I know this is really bad, but my almost most favorite book series of all times makes me feel a little shameful at times. I think it comes with the hate of being a fan of it gets. I actually started reading it before I even knew about the movies coming out and still love it no matter what the movies do to it, well and Robert Pattinson helps quiet a bit too. So if you haven't guess yet, it's Twilight. I don't mind telling people that are also fans, or people that understand. I've liked the series for so long that it's just one I can't help but read over and over and over again. So there you go, That's the books that I LOVE but am sometimes don't want to admit.

So the week of no posts is over. I'm pretty disappointed in myself for not posting, and I'm so sorry to every single one of my followers. It will not happen again. I have a little bit of exciting news though. I got the job!! I'll be working as a tellemessenger, which means I'll be answering phones after hours for businesses. This means that I'll finally be able to buy books when I want, because my parents have me on a book ban, where they won't buy books for me since they say I have an addiction, which I totally do. So be expecting more books soon, because I start next Wednesday! So here is this week's Follow Friday question.

Q. Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100FACTSABOUTME, GIVE US FIVE BOOK RELATED SILLY FACTS ABOUT YOU.

1.) I'm addicted to books, I can't go into a bookstore and not buy at least one.

2.) I can read a lot of books at one time, somehow I keep them all straight

3.) I have slight OCD, my bookcase is organized each shelf by height. I tried to do it alphabetically once and it bothered me so much that I changed it back the next day.

4.) I'm known for taking at least one book with me everywhere I go.

5.) I really need to buy a new bookcase. Mines kind of going to fall apart soon, and hopefully I can get a bigger one, because I have books on top of my bookcase too.

This week has been a very eventful week for the blog. So many new things are coming. A book blog tour, a possible new In My Mailbox. Everything that's happening makes me so excited. There is so much that I want to see come out of this blog, and I really hope that you all are enjoying it as well, and that the changes I'm making are making the blog more fun! So since I missed last week, I decided I had to really remember to do this week's Follow Friday question, so here it is.

Q. Just like Ashley said (love it) "Ashley the girl..." who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?

I'm Chelsea, the girl haha. I'm 19 years old and a Sophomore in college. I'm majoring in Anthropology and Sociology, so I can continue on and get my doctorate to become a Forensic Anthropologist. I currently am back home, attending a community college because it's cheaper and better for me, it'll also take me a little longer to get my two year degree because the university I was at, I was in the Honors Program and unfortunately those classes do not transfer to my community college. I've been trying to find a job since Christmas Break, and hopefully the hunt is coming to a close. If I'm not blogging or reading or doing homework, I'm spending time with my family or friends, which all mean the world to me.

So I'm a little late with todays Follow Friday, but I am babysitting the most adorable little boy ever. It just so happens he likes to band on computers and I had to wait til he fell asleep to be able to get mine out. But I did not forget about todays Follow Friday post! So here it is!

Q. Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it...

If you saw my last In My Mailbox post, you'll be aware that I got some Glee nail polish this week. So I would hope that it would be pretty clear that my current favorite television show is Glee. I watch it every single week and I even watch them on hulu again. I won't go as far as saying I believe everything that comes along with the fandom, because there are some crazy things, but I do love the show, the songs, and the message behind it. I also have a bit of a secret obsession with Jersey Shore. It's like sneaking a cookie from the cookie jar. It's just so funny and I crack up every time I watch it. Those two shows also happen to be the only shows that I watch, because I don't have a television in my room anymore and I don't usually have time to watch it any way. So what is your current favorite television show?

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I'm falling behind on here but I have just been feeling terrible. I went to the doctor and she said I have a severe Sinus Infection, so I've been laying around watching Bones all day the past couple of days. I am going to try to read some tonight, if my headache goes away. Thanks for being such amazing followers, and here is my Follow Friday post.

If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven't read Science Fiction before...any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?

I really enjoyed Host by Stephanie Meyer. Science fiction that tends to be romance is my thing. Honestly, anything that's romance is a really good read to me. I do remember a few science fiction books I read when I was younger and they were fascinating. The whole point of me reading is to be able to escape to a different life and a different world. So it's time for a follow friday and maybe a small update or two. But first here's the question.

What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?

Honestly, I'm not too sure. I think I would have to lean towards the strong silent type. There's just something about that kind of boy in a book that kind of twists my stomach and gives it butterflies. Does anyone get that kind of feeling when they read or is it just me? I get butterflies whenever there's a big romance or when the main girl and her "hero" are fighting and you know that they'll end up kissing.

So starting tonight I'm going to be out of town, well more like out of state but same thing. My friend is competing in a horse show Tomorrow, and I am going to stay with her tonight. Then Sunday night I'm going with my family and some family friends out to dinner at a restaurant about 2 hours away for Valentine's day. So I will try my best to be on as much as I can to get some posts up, but if not, you know where I am and that I am still here so no one worries.

What is the book you are currently 'pushing'? (Pushing mean trying to get people to read)

I'm not really pushing anyone to read anything. but then again, having a book blog is pushing any book that I review because I wouldn't post a good review about a book that I didn't like and want everyone else to read too. But, if there was a book that I would try to get someone to read it would be Evermore, just because I really loved the first one and cannot wait to start the second one.
