"Waiting On" Wednesday {6}

Wednesday, February 23, 2011
This week seems to be going by so quickly, I can't believe it's time for another Waiting On Wednesday post yet here we are. So I'm pretty excited for this week because these books are going to be coming out soon and February is almost to an end.  So here are my books for this weeks post.

Sean Griswold's Head - Lindsey Leavitt
Publication Date: March 1st

So I have been seeing this book around everywhere. I am pretty excited that it is coming out in less than a week. It looks so good and it sounds even better.

"According to her guidance counselor, fifteen-year-old Payton Gritas needs a focus object—an item to concentrate her emotions on. It's supposed to be something inanimate, but Payton decides to use the thing she stares at during class: Sean Griswold's head. They've been linked since third grade (Griswold-Gritas—it's an alphabetical order thing), but she's never really known him.

The focus object is intended to help Payton deal with her father's newly diagnosed multiple sclerosis. And it's working. With the help of her boy-crazy best friend Jac, Payton starts stalking—er, focusing on—Sean Griswold . . . all of him! He's cute, he shares her Seinfeld obsession (nobody else gets it!) and he may have a secret or two of his own.

In this sweet story of first love, Lindsey Leavitt seamlessly balances heartfelt family moments, spot-on sarcastic humor, and a budding young romance."

The Goddess Test - Aimee Carter
Publication Date: April 19th

This is another book that looks super pretty and sounds like an amazing story. I love things to do with gods and goddesses so I'm definitely going to have to check this book out when it comes out.

"It's always been just Kate and her mom--and now her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.

If she fails..."
