"Waiting On" Wednesday {4}

Wednesday, February 9, 2011
Hey everyone! Sorry this post is later in the day than usual, I didn't get a chance to do it before I had to go to class. But anyway, I have three amazing looking books to share with you for this week's "Waiting on" Wednesday post, I couldn't pick just one, so here they are.

Bad Taste In Boys - Carrie Harris
Publication Date: July 12th 2011

The first thing that really caught my attention was the book cover. It looks absolutely gorgeous! Then the second this is that it's about zombies. I love anything that's paranormal, and it seems this is even better, and is a paranormal romance. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads.

'Someone's been a very bad zombie.  Kate Grable is horrified to find out that the football coach has given the team steroids. Worse yet, the steriods are having an unexpected effect, turning hot gridiron hunks into mindless flesh-eating zombies. No one is safe--not her cute crush Aaron, not her dorky brother, Jonah . . . not even Kate! She's got to find an antidote--before her entire high school ends up eating each other. So Kate, her best girlfriend, Rocky, and Aaron stage a frantic battle to save their town  . . . and stay hormonally human."

Hourglass - Myra McEntire
Publications Date: May 24th 2011

So here yet again is another stunning cover that grabbed my attention right away. Then the storyline sounds even more stunning, it's about a girl who sees ghosts and she's trying to figure out why and what it all means. Here's they synopsis from Goodreads.

"Since the age of fourteen, Emerson Cole has seen strange things – dead things – swooning Southern Belles, soldiers, and other eerie apparitions of the past. She’s tried everything to get rid of the visions: medication, counseling, asylums. Nothing’s worked. So when Emerson's well-meaning brother calls in yet another consultant from a mysterious organization called the Hourglass, Emerson’s willing to give it one last try. Michael Weaver is no ordinary consultant. He's barely older than she is; he listens like no one she's ever met before; and he doesn't make her feel the least bit crazy. As Emerson ventures deeper into the world of the Hourglass, she begins to learn the truth about her past, her future--and her very life. A seductive time-slip novel that merges the very best of the paranormal and science fiction genres, Myra McEntire’s Hourglass is a stunning debut from an author to watch."

Drink, Slay, Love. - Sarah Durst
Publication Date: September 13th 2011

So here's the third book for this week's Waiting on Wednesday post with yet another gorgeous cover. I saw it maybe a week ago on thestorysiren.com and I added it right to my TBR list on Goodreads, but now the more I look at it the more and more anxious I get for it to come out. The synopsis from Goodreads even leaves you hanging but it still sounds so good, so here it is.

"What happens when a vampire is stabbed through the heart by a were-unicorn? She suddenly develops a very inconvenient conscience. Oops."

So those are this week's "Waiting on" Wednesday books for me. What are you waiting on this week? Feel free to leave a comment linking to your post I'd love to see them!

  4. These all look fun. I had seen the first two around the blogosphere (I'm so in love with the cover for Hourglass). The third I had never seen or heard of. It sounds FUN and a little bit like Angel (Buffy's Angel I mean). I'm not sure about the were-unicorn bit... sounds funky.

    Hope you like all of those when you read them!
